This started out as an instrumental to be used with a video of Mat's next competition. Somehow, it became a song when I Will Lift This Up popped into my head as it fitted perfectly. That then morphed into I Will Lift You Up as I wrote further lyrics. There was only ever going to be a short passage of lyrics followed by a longer instrumental outro.
I was ably to write another version of the lyrics that would fit Mat's video, that version being called I Will Lift This Up.
